By now you probably are getting the idea that I am passionate about finding a good deal. I love fashion and trying out new pieces, but hate to pay retail for wardrobe basics. I am the opposite of most people who invest in simple pieces but thrift on the trendy items. I feel like, if it's simple and basic, why am I being charged $300 ? I can't stand that! Imagine my excitement when I stumbled across this extra long navy blazer at a thrift store for 3 bucks! I had been scouring Shopbop, Zara and Net-a-Porter hoping to catch a good sale, but all the oversized blazers I loved were full price and at least $250...No way! I'll pay for a fun and detailed item much sooner that I would for a basic. Especially when many stores create identical versions with a much more digestible price tag. I figured there had to be a better option and I'm so glad I waited!
I paired this boyish blazer with a more feminine and trendy pair of Metallic "Mary Janes" to balance the boxy shape out and add some interest and a little pop! I also wore straight leg "mom jeans" to give a casual effortless look since the rose gold can be a bit loud. I just love the summer shoes at Zara right now because they are so fun while still so totally affordable! I hope this post encourages you guys to get out there and hunt for good deals. Anyone can dress with style if they get creative with their options, and what's more creative than thrift shopping and putting together a unique and custom look?
