Baby Nursery Mood board
Baby Nursery Mood board

All of a sudden, I am getting into the spirit of designing the babies nursery. When I first got pregnant, I felt pretty overwhelmed at the idea of all the changes that were going to take place during and after pregnancy. Everyone knows I am obsessed with decor and design, so friends would constantly ask if I was already designing a nursery at week 4 of pregnancy. NO! I was so stressed out at that time because I wasn't trying to get pregnant that I rebelled against any fun things that came with pregnancy because they felt like a burden at the time.
Now, as we finish up our remodel in Redondo Beach, a beach city in Los Angeles, it makes sense to start pulling together my ideas. I am itching to get in the house, get settled and put everything where it needs to go. I can’t tell if I am nesting or just totally controlling and OCD because I am an organizer anyway! We will be splitting our time between the beach cities and Silver Lake still so I need to create two nurseries, but this is my idea for Redondo! I have a feeling they will both have a similar vibe… what can I say? I like what I like!
1. 3 piece image 2. 6 bulb light fixture 3. Karina Jambrak Illustrations 4. Kip and Co Pouf 5. Dried Pampas 6. Anthro Chair 7. Throw Blanket 8. Oak Crib 9. Baby Changing Table
None of these items are exact, but that’s what a mood board is for! Im just gathering my thoughts and ideas and the end result will resemble this, but I won’t be using all of these exact items since I have certain items I wanna use.
I love a bright and airy room so we are going with white walls, lots of natural light, and calming tones like peach, pale pinks, nude, and burnt orange to create a monotone look. I’m also doing prints throughout the house that are primarily water focused with whites and blue tones to create an airy and relaxing feel. I like prints that make me feel happy like I am on vacation when I look at them! Below are some favorite alternatives:

For area rug, I definitely want something in the moroccan or bohemian family. Either neutral or in the pink family. Here are a few options that have that look:
Area Rug
For the chair, I love a natural element like rattan i.e. the Anthro Chair shown above. I think this one looks super comfortable and stylish which is important to me. I don’t want a huge lounging chair that doesn’t have much aesthetic appeal. Here are some options that I am loving!:
Chairs
For my cribs, since we are splitting time at two homes, my sister helped me out and gave me her daughters white oak looking crib from Ikea! It’s super simple and cute and FREE! Some other cribs I am considering for our Redondo beach home are below:

I’m really excited to get this room going and thennnn get going on the Silver Lake nursery! If I make them look completely different, I’ll definitely keep you guys up to date on the design! I love all of these options so much and hope they inspire you to create a nursery (if you’re a mom to be!) or even room you love and want in your home. It’s so important to be inspired by your space. I can’t wait to see how it all comes together and will definitely be sharing the final reveal here.

Palm Desert Bathroom Remodel- Essential First Steps
Hi Guys!
Check out my video on the things I have been learning lately as I have been planning our remodel for one of our bathrooms in Palm Desert. We have a rental property out there that we love, but it is a little dated which we don’t mind but we want to spruce it up a little to add value to the rental as well as just make it more pretty and fun for when we are there with family and friends! These are some key things that are simple but help to know ahead of time for when you are thinking of starting a remodel.
Comment below if you have remodeled your home and how it went! I know it can be a nightmare but we’re hoping it’ll be easier since we don’t live out full time and won’t be in the dust and stress of it all.
Love you all and a grateful for you.

11 Small Pool Ideas for Small Backyards
Happy Friday all!
As many of you know, Chay and I are living in Silver Lake these days and love our home so much! It's modern but cozy and has that West Coast Modern vibe to it that we love with big windows, clean lines, and views of the hills where we live. It's a bit small for some peoples taste, but for us it's perfect! It comes in at 1,350 square feet, but the outdoor space makes it much more usable, with two decks and a terraced yard with lots of lush California landscape. We LOVE IT!
So, what is this new project we are kicking around? Welp, it's been a hot summer here in LA and we have been dying for a pool....but a typical lap pool is not an option in our yard due to the hillside and deck space. I've been doing my research and think a "spool" aka plunge pool could be the perfect option as we have the space on our bottom deck. I'm obsessed with these options below as inspo for the direction we can go in. What do you guys think? Let me know! I'd love to get your input!
All Images taken from my Pinterest Boards// Follow me here to see more of my favorite interior inspo !
Let me know which ideas you love best in the comments below! We're super excited to find out contractor and get going on this project. Stay tuned for updates!!
